St Paul’s got off to a great start with a goal in the opening few minutes at St Saviour against St Clement where the visitors turned in a dogged performance before going down 4-2.

Rupert Murray notched a brace and Josh White and Joe Goaziou singles for St Paul’s with St Clement on the mark through Jason De Nobrega and Fabio De Jesus.

Jersey Wanderers ran up the biggest win in the division to date by scoring nine times without reply against Grouville who slipped to their second consecutive defeat after winning their opening three games.

Barry Keith was the day’s top individual marksman scoring six times while Jordan McBride chipped in with a hat-trick.

First Tower defeated St Peter 3-0 away to move above the team they beat and into fifth position.

The Saints’ scorers were Fabio Santos (two) and Arthur Illingworth.

St Brelade consolidated a mid-table position in the under-16 Division following a 3-2 home win against St Peter, James Hudson scoring a brace for the winners and Michael Spittal a single to cap a fine début.

St Peter’s marksmen were Matthew Gurd and Matthew Ratcliff.

Consolation Joint-leaders First Tower and Jersey Wanderers A made it five wins apiece in under-14 Division I.

Hugo Powell became the first player to breach Tower’s defence this season hitting St John’s consolation in a 5-1 home defeat.

On target for Tower, who host Wanderers A at La Hague Manor this Sunday, were John Tardivel (two), Charlie Petulla, Marco Zocchi and Sam Crabtree.

Wanderers A also won on their travels, 3-0 at Le Couvent against Rozel Rovers following scores from Tom Hooper, Michael Whelan and Ben Smylie.

Goals from Daniel Tostevin, Zeljko Martinovic and Norman Carroll helped St Paul’s A to a 3-0 success over Grouville at Le Boulivot.

St Brelade appear well out of their depth in the division having already leaked 47 goals in four games, the latest 16-0 hosting St Clement A.

Beeches Old Boys staged the comeback of the day to win 8-6 against St Peter B in Division II at the FB Fields.

Trailing 4-1, Beeches recovered to win with James Farley bagging a hat-trick, Alistair McKenzie and Oliver Newman scoring two apiece and Thomas Murray one.

Jersey Wanderers B also trailed 4-1 on an adjoining pitch but despite a couple of late goals they eventually went down 4-3 to St Clement B.

Matthew Boxall and Dylan Rawlinson both scored twice for St Clement with Wanderers registering through Blake O’Callaghan, Luke Philpott and Eddie Le Bailly.

St Paul’s B coasted to a 7-0 win at St Saviour against St Ouen following goals by Jamie Burrows (three), Ryan de la Haye, Matti McGhee, Harrison Crick and Jack Hinton.
