James de la Cloche, who left Troys to set up Edge Property Services last year, says two-thirds of the inquiries were financial services/funds business related and the remainder from young but retired people, mainly in their late 40s.

Entrepreneurs Mr de la Cloche initially focused his business on high net worth individuals applying for a 1(1)k housing licence, following a new States initiative in 2005 to encourage rich entrepreneurs and funds businesses to settle in the Island.

Since then he has started a new service to help finance firms who are looking for rental properties for their J-category licence staff.
