‘We lost our first two matches,’ coach Linda Andrews said.

‘We have a lot of new faces in the team and for them the whole thing about this league is their lack of experience.

We have some very good new players in the side, but it is going to take time for them to be comfortable, playing at this standard.’ She said that it would be too easy to keep all the same, older players in the squad.

‘We have to look at developing the team for the future.

We just can’t stay with the more experienced players all the time.

The youngsters need more experience at this level, and playing is the only way they will get it.

The more they play, the better they will be, and while we want to win, we don’t want to win at all costs because we’ll lose the essence of what we want to do in bringing on new players.’ ‘The East Hants side is good,’ she added.

‘They are a club and county side and have a lot of games.

This is our only home fixture of the season, we will be playing away for every other match.

We’ve been training hard since our last matches so we know what we have to do tomorrow, and if we can do in the match what we have been doing in training then we certainly won’t be a walkover.

And I hope there’ll be lots of home support to lift us.’ The day of netball starts at 11.30 am, with a display of skills to promote the new Jersey Development squad of 11-14-year-olds who have just been boosted by sponsorship from Ronez which has got them a new kit and finance to send them all on tour to the Nationals next year.

Then the Deutsche Bank Academy side wil be in action with the warm–up for the main match at 1.15 for the 2 pm start.

Supporters are very welcome.
