WEEK 14 UPDATE
With financial markets being closed for two days over Easter, very little has changed as far as equity markets are concerned. The most anticipated economic data has been US CPI data releases which were largely in line with expectations.
For the teams’ league, The 5 Muskateers from Beaulieu Convent remain in top spot for the fourth consecutive week with a 24.75% rise in the value of their portfolio with Tesla and Marks & Spencer their best performers. BSG from Victoria College also remain in seconf place with a 21.87% rise in the value of their portfolio. Close behind them are Anglo-Portuguese from Highlands College, whose portfolio is up 20.47% this year with Nvidia their best performing stock. Overall, 67% of the stocks holdings have produced a positive return this year, with 55% beating the MSCI World Equity Index.
At the school level, Highlands College continue to lead with an average 16.90% rise in the value of its portfolios with De La Salle sneaking into second with an average return 11.62% across its portfolios.
