Nominated by: Fay Johnson
WENDY Cooper has been nominated for Teacher of the Year for her work as deputy head in Beaulieu’s SEND department.
Nominator Fay Johnson said that the learning support unit teacher had always tried her very best to make sure that every child, in both primary and secondary schools, has the resources and support they need to thrive.
In Ms Johnson’s words, Mrs Cooper “has an incredible ability to make every child feel heard, understood and safe”.
Ms Johnson said she was making the nomination to recognise the impact Mrs Cooper had on her team, for whom she was described as “a constant source of encouragement and guidance”.
Mrs Cooper “leads with compassion, kindness and respect, creating a positive environment where everyone feels supported and appreciated”, Ms Johnson added, going on to explain that she always puts everyone first, working to improve the lives of those around her.
