Each year, the Association of Jersey Charities, receives the Jersey share of the Channel Island lottery profits to distribute to a selection of its members, decided by a board on a quarterly basis.
Lyn Wilton, the administrator for the organisation, said that the money was incredibly helpful for the charities as fundraising had become more challenging.
