The woman, who was referred to as Miss B, told the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry that she fostered children for several years in the 1990s and early 2000s, but often felt unsupported by Children’s Services.
She said she raised concerns about some of the children’s behaviour, but that nothing ever seemed to be done.
Miss B was jailed in 2010 after being convicted of perjury and perverting the course of justice for tipping off a man accused of abusing one of the children – known as child A – in her care that the police were investigating him.
However, during the hearing yesterday she continued to deny that she had tipped off the man, who was jailed for two years for sexual abuse of child A.
