Secretary of State for Justice and Lord Chancellor, Chris Grayling, will be in the Island tomorrow and will meet States Members and dignitaries.
It will be the Conservative politician’s first visit to the Island. He will be hosted by Chief Minister Ian Gorst, and the Lieutenant-Governor, General Sir John McColl. The Bailiff, Sir Michael Birt, will also host a dinner in honour of Mr Grayling at Highlands College.
Mr Grayling became Justice Secretary, which includes in its remit responsibility for the UK’s relationship with the Channel Islands, last year following a mid-term cabinet reshuffle and was invited to the Island by the Chief Minister.
