Overall the number of visitors coming to Jersey dropped 3.8 per cent last year compared with 2011.
However, there has been an increase in tourists from a handful of countries, including Norway, Portugal, Canada and Australia. But the most startling increase has been in German visitors.
Between January to October 2008 the Island had 8,735 German visitors and that figure had to 14,050 this year. The numbers for the last three months of the year are not available yet.
