In a landmark case for the Island, the Court of Appeal reinstated Deputy Rob Duhamel’s decision to list Seymour Villa in Plat Douet Road, after the owners had successfully had the move overturned by the Royal Court.
The dispute came as the Planning department was in the middle of a major resurvey of all of the Island’s historic properties. The work was suspended to allow the appeal to run its course, but Kevin Pilley, the Planning department’s director of policy and projects, said the resurvey could now continue.
