On Friday, some six thousand spectators gathered along Victoria Avenue to watch the Moonlight Sprint.
On the Saturday and Sunday vehicles took part in hill climbs at Westmount and Mount Bingham respectively, while visitors enjoyed a static display of cars and bikes on the People’s Park on both days.
Visitors were also treated to the fearsome Wall of Death, a 20 ft high wooden cylinder in which motorcycle riders travelled along a vertical wall while performing stunts. There were also two top motorcycle stunt riders who thrilled the crowds.
Among the vehicles on display was a full-size model of the Bloodhound rocket car, which is being built to smash the land speed record and pass the 1,000 mph barrier.
