Environment Minister Rob Duhamel has promised to review the current policy of raking up the sea lettuce and dumping it at the low-tide mark – only for it to wash back in on the next tide.
This year the stinking problem is worse than ever – with the green slime putting off bathers and causing a stink for residents.
Deputy Duhamel said that, in conjunction with the Transport department, his department was looking into how best to deal with the sea lettuce.
