The Senator outlined a package of measures designed to improve the industry’s fortunes when he made a keynote speech to the Jersey Hospitality Association at the Grand Hotel.

He said that he was the political ‘champion’ of the hospitality sector and was ready to back his support with hard cash.

He said that ‘substantial investment’ was to be put into training Islanders to take jobs in tourism.
