Alok K Misra, the chairman and managing director of the Bank of India, shared his view when a Jersey delegation paid a visit to the group’s headquarters in Mumbai earlier this week.
He said it was important that the Island was represented. ‘You recognise it well. You are in China, Abu Dhabi and now India,’ he said.
He added that Jersey was an important place for the Bank of India, which first set up an operation in the Island in 1978.
