Malcolm de Sousa continued to win friends by producing a near-perfect display to beat Bill Brault, from the USA, 21-5, while Chrissie Grimes extended her unbeaten record to four matches with a 21-7 win over Holland’s Elly Dolieslager.
The out-of-sorts Jersey quartet skipped by Greg Davis came good at last, after a positional reshuffle, Mike Rive and Alan Shaw swapped places, Shaw leading and Rive lining up at third man.
