Chaos travelling from St Malo with Condor

HOW bad can it get travelling with Condor? I am a regular traveller to St Malo with Condor, as I take my car, I have little choice but to go by Condor.
On a recent journey I had to endure a five-hour delay in St Malo. There were no text messages sent to advise passengers of this. It was sheer chaos in the port, chaos getting on the ferry and chaos on the ferry as passengers were told there was no seat allocation.
Never mind, surely Condor would offer a free cup of tea or coffee for the delay? No, not Condor, only over priced, over cooked food.
Well, perhaps a free Sunday paper as it is now 9.30 pm, instead of 4.30 pm? No, not Condor – full price please.
Talking of prices, I had paid over £250 for less than a week away, to do an hour’s journey each way. Ahh, I can hear the chief executive saying. ‘We have regular special offers’.
Really, has he ever tried to book one? Firstly the web page doesn’t work, and hasn’t done for months, so you have to go down to the port, only to be told it is only available, midweek, mid-day, when nobody wants to travel, and the prices are deliberately non-comparable for different days and times, so you have to give the staff member the day you want to travel, only then to be told ‘we do not have special offer on that day’.
Ooooh, and by the way, if you want to book as a foot passenger, don’t book with Condor at £50 return, go online to a ferry booking agent and get it for £20 return. Yep, that’s how much they are ripping us off. More than double!
Think it can’t get any worse? Then, brace yourself. Oh yes it can. Condor have now decided to cancel the Friday 6 pm sailing to St Malo for the winter. What excuses are they are going to make for this one? It is always busy on that sailing taking people to their homes in France after work on a Friday, weekenders, tourists, etc, I thought their licence was to offer us Jersey passengers a year round service. To make the last sailing at 3 pm on a Friday is just adding insult to injury.
I think I am going to write to Stelios and ask him to send a great big orange ferry with EASY-BOAT written all over it. At least then we might get hot kebabs to eat, instead of a stale baguette. Oooh that’s another £5 please.
