The former honorary police officer was jailed for two years on Friday after admitting sexual assaults on eight young girls over two decades.
Holland (42), who was a Vingtenier in the St Helier force, is believed to have taken an overdose at La Moye and had to be rushed to hospital.
Following emergency treatment the convicted paedophile’s condition was stabilised and he was returned to prison later the same day.
