RBC has surpassed its target for entries in this year’s Jersey Marathon, with 111 staff members currently registered to run.
The company, who last year had 106 employees taking part in the event, has so far 21 relay teams and six individual runners from its offices in Jersey, Guernsey, London and Edinburgh entered for the race on 5 October.
Paul Patterson, head of RBC wealth management in the British Isles, said: ‘We are delighted to see so many members of staff registered for this community event. The Jersey Marathon creates an ideal opportunity for our staff to train and work together to achieve a personal goal. We have a team of volunteers holding twice-weekly training sessions to help our staff be ready for the race.’
The training sessions have proved to be a great support to those who had not previously considered entering, as well as to those with more experience.
