After 100 years of caring for Islanders, the charity currently has more than 7,000 members and offers more services than ever to Islanders of all ages. Over the course of the next few months, 97,000 leaflets will be sent out to homes and workplaces by Jersey Electricity. Charity director Karen Huchet said: ‘People often join us when they are confronted by illness and suddenly need our community care services as a matter of urgency. ‘We are hoping that the new leaflet will show Islanders how much more we do, and that we offer services for everyone from birth to end of life. We currently serve 7,067 members, and we are aiming for at least a 20 per cent increase. I hope that Islanders will realise the benefits of joining when they have read the leaflet.’
