Hundreds have logged on to the website at www.live8jersey.com, but technical problems over the weekend meant that some of their messages were lost.
Live8 Jersey organiser Freddie Cohen, of the Community Relations Trust, has apologised for the glitch and is asking people to log on again to resend their message.
‘I’ve been overwhelmed by the support we’ve received – but so too, it appears, was the website,’ he said.
‘We’ve been getting messages from a wide cross-section of the Island, from young and old, which is fantastic.
All the messages will be collated and sent by the trust to the G8 leaders when they meet in Scotland next month.’
