Under a new team and managing director Kevin Keen, the dairy has been turned around, new products are emerging, and an export market is being re-established.

This is the fourth year that the awards have been organised by the Economic Development Committee, with eight prizes presented at a gala dinner at the Hotel de France, attended by around 450 guests and sponsors including the Lieut-Governor, Air Chief Marshal Sir John Cheshire, and the Deputy Bailiff, Michael Birt.

A community project that helps school pupils to understand the consequences of crime earned two awards.

The ‘Prison! Me! No Way!’ scheme was started by two police officers and a prison officer going to schools and running crime and safety awareness days.

The events have proved so successful that the scheme has been expanded to other age groups.
