The site was described by circus general manager Paul Archer as ‘the worst in Europe’ and now Deputy Phil Rondel wants to know why another site was not found for its ten-night sell-out run.

The Deputy wants to know whether the circus is to be charged for the poor site and, if so, how much.

He is also to ask Economic Development president Deputy Gerald Voisin why the Tourism Department did not speak to farmers, who the Deputy says could have provided a far more suitable site if the States themselves had nothing better to offer.

He will further ask Deputy Voisin at the next scheduled sitting at the end of this month what Economic Development has done to try to alleviate the water problems there.
