The man, aged between 35 and 40, was seen acting suspiciously at the nature trail between 10 am and 12.30 pm on Sunday.
At that time, he was seen trying to befriend children playing in the area by following them around and trying to speak to them.
At one stage, the man hugged a young child against the child’s wishes.
Police want to to talk to anyone in the area at that time who saw a tanned man wearing yellow shorts, a T-shirt and Nike baseball cap.
He was also seen there on Thursday 9 June between 4 pm and 6 pm.
