Wanderers have been unable to attract a new manager although they have recently appointed former Muratti full-back Martin Murray, an former semi-pro for East Kilbride Juniors, as head coach.
Noble said: ‘We’ve been unable to find a manager so I’m going to do it.
I’ve a long association with the club and I hope I don’t ruin it by getting the sack! ‘Martin and Tony Salaun have been taking the training and after a quiet start to the season things have really picked up.
Next week the under-18s who want to be included with the first team will start to attend senior training.
‘I’m looking forward to the role and hopefully Wanderers will consolidate their position in the top division at the end of the season.
‘We have lost a lot of players from last season but the future is bright as we have some very talented youngsters coming through.
‘We’ve searched long and hard for a manager without success.
It’s a bit scary really because Brian Oliver is doing a fantastic job getting people qualified as coaches but those people don’t seem to want to get involved with clubs.
‘Positions are available at clubs but newly-qualified coaches are simply very slow in coming forward.’ Wanderers kick off their season with a first-round JFA Charity Cup match against Magpies at the Hockey Club on Monday.
