THE St Martin’s bonfire has been postponed.
The event, which was due to take place tomorrow, will now be held on Saturday 12 November.
Danny Wherry, one of the organisers, said: ‘We have just had a meeting and disappointingly the bonfire is cancelled this Saturday 5th November due to high winds (fire risk from bonfire and fireworks) and the car parks are extremely muddy and could present us with parking problems.
‘The bonfire and fireworks have been rescheduled for next Saturday 12th November.
‘Looking forward to seeing everyone – the gates open at 6pm next week.’
