Because the couple swapped the traditional vintage wedding car for a recovery truck for their journey from the church where they were married to their reception venue.
Mr Boschat (29) and his new wife (34) first met more than 12 years ago when they were neighbours in Trinity, but it wasn’t until a chance encounter last summer that love blossomed after Mr Boschat offered the then Miss Allen a lift home – in the same recovery truck they travelled in on their wedding day on Friday.
Mr Boschat, who along with his wife has run Number 1 Recovery since last year, said: ‘We felt that it would be nice if we used the truck as the wedding car, seeing as it has sentimental meaning for us both as well being a key part of our first business together. It has been a whirlwind year and it means a lot to us for the truck to feature at the wedding.’ The happy couple were married at St Luke’s Church and made the journey to La Mare Wine Estate in St Mary in their Isuzu recovery truck, which is one of the company’s fleet of 11. And the couple, who have seven children between them from previous relationships, had extra reason to celebrate, because Mrs Boschat is pregnant with their first child together.
‘Teresa is the love of my life, and although some people may say that our relationship has moved at lightning speed, I answer by saying that when you know, you know,’ said Mr Boschat. ‘And I feel like the luckiest man in the world to be taking this wonderful woman as my wife, mother of my child and business partner.
‘I have never met anyone so driven and motivated as Teresa. She is a very creative person and spent countless hours hand-crafting almost every detail of our wedding, from the table plans and table centre pieces all the way down to the order of service and menus. She is my inspiration and the best mother, wife and business partner I could ever wish for.’
