The children dressed in red and white for the day, which saw a visit by a team from the Jersey branch of the British Red Cross, including Nick Chandler, who showed children around the emergency response vehicle which is used to give respite if anyone is made homeless as a result of an emergency.

The day also involved a fund-raising cake sale, organised by the school council, and a raffle and all the proceeds will be presented to Red Cross representatives at a future assembly, when a talk will be given about their work.

The children are also supporting the charity by making miniature Red Cross parcels to use as part of the decorations for a forthcoming ball.
