Anthony Davis helps New Orleans Pelicans to win over Golden State Warriors

The New Orleans Pelicans applied the pressure in their Western Conference semi-final series with a 119-100 victory over the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors led the series 2-0 before game three, but a fightback from Anthony Davis – who scored 33 points, 18 rebounds and four seals – saw the Pelicans narrow the series lead to 2-1.

Jrue Holiday added 21 for New Orleans and while Klay Thompson notched up 26 points for the Warriors, he seemed off form, missing 13 of 22 shots.

Elsewhere, James Harden scored 25 points to push Houston to a 113-92 win over the Utah Jazz in game three.

The Rockets dominated from the start, outscoring the Jazz 70-40 in the first half.

Eric Gordon, meanwhile, stood out as another of the night’s big scorers, matching Harden on 25 points, to give Houston their third win in Salt Lake City this season and a 2-1 series lead.
