Jersey Reds knocked about by Pirates

Brendan Cope gave the Islanders a 6-0 lead with two early penalties at the Mennaye Field but the hosts soon found their stride and finished 26-13 up thanks to two tries either side of the break. Jersey were caught napping on three of those scores, before they reduced the deficit from 26-6 with a 70m intercepted try from George Spencer.

Handed a bye on the opening weekend of the 2020/21 Championship season, the Reds will begin their competitive schedule at Saracens on 13 March.
