Reds’ chance to put things right

Jersey Reds were well below par as they were beaten 23-14 at the Athletic Ground on Saturday, but the head coach has given 14 of the 15 starters an opportunity to ‘put things right’ tomorrow.

Josh Hodson is the only player not to retain a starting jersey, as Jason Worrall, who struggled at full-back last week, shifts to the left wing. Brendan Cope, who has started every game at stand-off so far, moves to full-back, while Oli Bryant is set for his first competitive start at fly-half.

Although the pack is unchanged, hooker Jared Saunders has been stripped of the captain’s armband in favour of loosehead Jake Woolmore. Ellis Abrahams and Dave McKern return to the replacements bench but there is no space for Seb Nagle-Taylor, who came off the bench last week.

Tomorrow’s game at Stade Santander International kicks-off at 3 pm.

Jersey Reds (1-15): Jake Woolmore (capt), Jared Saunders, Jake Armstrong, Jerry Sexton, James Voss, Matt Rogerson, Conor Joyce, Rory Pitman; Kieran Hardy, Oli Bryant, Jason Worrall, Apakuki Ma’afu, Mark Best, Tom Pincus, Brendan Cope.

Replacements: Roy Godfrey, Nick Selway, Leeroy Atalifo, Dave McKern, Rory Bartle, Joel Dudley, Ellis Abrahams.
