Jersey Bulls to receive government grant?

ATHLETICO DFZ v HITCHIN TOWN LONDON FA (2019-20) U17 CUP FINAL SUNDAY 5TH SEPT 2020 HARINGEY BOROUGH FC

The grants should benefit around 850 non-league clubs who have been unable to play any football for the past two months due to current lockdown restrictions. At present, being based in Jersey, the Bulls do not know if they will be able to qualify for the grant but if they do they could stand to receive up to £7,500.

As of Thursday, the club are able to apply for the government-funded football winter survival package through the Football Foundation’s website. However, there are stipulations to what the funds can or cannot be used for (see Thursday’s JEP). If an application is successful, funds will be distributed quickly to clubs through the Football Stadia Improvement Fund.

If Bulls are eligible for the grant, it will be a timely boost for a club who will not have played a home match for over a year if and when the league restarts in March. The English Football Association is expected to make a decision on the conclusion of the current season for non-league clubs in the coming weeks.
