In only in his second-ever senior game, Kelly, bowling for Rathbones Old Victorians, took three wickets from Grant Thornton Beeches 2s from three consecutive balls – one a direct hit on the bails of Sam de Gruchy while Mike Coward and Ben Jones were both caught by James Le Cuirot for a duck.
However, it was not enough to stop Beeches from getting the win in their Division II match, by 45 runs, in no small thanks to a half-century from Charlie Franks before retiring.
Kelly also bagged a hat-trick on his senior debut last week, helping OVs into the quarter-finals of the JEP Knockout Trophy with victory over Walkovers Rebels.
