Run, swim, row, paddle!

Run, swim, row, paddle!

Last year around 200 people took on the adventure challenge by either running, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, rowing or stand up paddle boarding.

Participants will be raising awareness and valuable funds for the Grace Crocker Family Support Foundation, a Jersey charity that supports families in the Island with sick children needing treatment in the UK and around £45,00 has been raised to date.

All categories complete the achievement of circumnavigating Jersey, solo or as a team.

Each race category is managed by a relevant Island club, who provide essential support, training and safety guidelines.

Pre-event there is a motivational talk from swimmer Sean Conway, the first person to swim the length of Great Britain and record for world’s longest continuous triathlon of 4,200 miles, at the Royal Yacht Hotel today at 4 pm.

Event headquarters is at Longbeach in Grouville where runners will begin their 48-mile event at 8 am. Swimmers, solo and relay, start at 9 am, while Ouaisné is the start point for prone boards, rowers and SUP at 6 am, outriggers and kayaks at 6.30 am and surf ski kayaks from 7.30 am.
