The Sydney-based franchise were well beaten, 65-48, by Sunshine Coast Lightning in a surprisingly one-sided showdown at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
‘It’s hard to be positive after a disappointing performance on Saturday,’ said former Le Rocquier student Guthrie. ‘But we have a lot to be proud of in our first season in the competition.’
Guthrie will now return to the UK to prepare for the international Quad Series with England.
