JERSEY started their USA tour with a 23-run victory over Denmark in Houston, Texas, yesterday.
A half-century from opener Nat Wakins was the top score in their 188 for six-wickets total, from 50 overs. Cricketer of the Year Anthony Kay took three wickets as Denmark were then dismissed in the penultimate over for 165. Rhys Palmer and Chuggy Perchard claimed two wickets apiece.
The Islanders meet local outfit Houston Sparks in the Smart Choice Tri-Series today. The Sparks beat Denmark in the opening fixture of the competition on Monday.
