Jersey top table after beating Hants – twice

Despite neither team having lost a tie all season prior to the fixtures, Hampshire had led the Island side by two points after securing more convincing wins.

However, two successes over the weekend – which accounted for both the home and away fixtures against the visiting county – have moved Jersey top of the division, level on points with Hampshire but ahead on ties won.

The triumphs, one of which took place on Saturday and one on Sunday, mean Jersey are now in pole position to claim the one available promotion spot and make an immediate return to Division IV, from which they were relegated last season.
