While one of those tournaments took place on Sunday, the Jersey trio will have their last chance to impress on 28 September. Following that date, a Wessex Leopards squad will be selected from the pool of players competing for Haslemere, Bristol and Exeter to contest the England Hockey Futures Cup in October against the other three regions from across the country – Mercia Lynx, Pennine Pumas and Saxon Tigers.
England Hockey’s national under-16 squads are then selected based on players’ performances at the Futures Cup.
