While most of the funding is allocated for sportsmen and women to travel out of the Island for competitions – with team sports that travel extensively for UK or European events generally getting the larger sums – money has also been apportioned to train resident coaches and officials.
The Advisory Council has taken two months to consider applications and assistant director at ESC Derek de la Haye says all clubs and associations have now been notified of their grants.
