Bermuda spiked

JERSEY'S indoor volleyball team is the latest to confirm they will not be taking part in next year's NatWest Island Games.

Bermuda spiked

The 2013 Games are to be held in Bermuda which has caused a number of financial difficulties for some of the Island's sports teams.

The cost is likely to far exceed £2,000 per person, prompting both the basketball and football teams to withdraw.

The athletics team, a regular source of Island Games silverware, is also likely to be hit hard. A drastic reduction in team size is expected, although exact numbers are yet to be confirmed.
