Organisers are expecting a fleet of around 90 yachts to take part, starting at 11.30 am in St Peter Port, sailing down to Corbiere then across the south coast of Jersey to the finish at St Helier.
After last year, when the race had to be rescheduled due to bad weather, organisers are hoping for favourable racing conditions.
Last year’s race featured Jerseyman David Jones, in Jackana, follow in his father’s footsteps and take the main honours, with three Guernsey yachts making up the rest of the top four – Martin Ozard second in X-celerator, Aden Clark third in Blue Jade and M Knowles fourth in Alectrona.
