The guests included the Connétable of St Helier, Simon Crowcroft; Mark Syvret, managing director of sponsors Romerils; and representatives from sponsors Cenkos, who were given a guided tour of the clubhouse, particularly the newly-completed extension and outdoor area.
Club president Jean Lowery gave a short speech, thanking all whose hard work at the club had resulted in a marvellous end result – a superb clubhouse and surrounds as well as a wonderful bowling green.
The Connétable responded, revealing a dalliance with the French version of the game, but was forgiven and asked to unveling the club’s centenary commemorative plaque.
