The new course will start at the lower end of Mont Pinel, near the old quarry with a fast straight, before turning into the very twisty Le Mont des Corvess. The new course will require a combination of straight-line speed and manoeuvrability.
Taking part over the three days will be an impressive selection of cars and bikes. Among the line up will be a 1953 Jaguar C-Type, a very special 1960 Ford pop which has been lovingly restored by a local competitor, a 1962 Austin Healey, 1967 Pontiac Firebird and some more modern cars such as a 2003 Honda Civic, 1999 Mazda MX-5 and 2009 Renault R26R.
There is also an impressive line up of motorcycles, including a 1959 BSA Cheney Goldstar DBD, 1980 Yamaha TZ and 2018 Husquvana 701 SM to name but a few.
Various British, Japanese and Italian motorcycles will be competing, represented by such well known marques as Triumph, Norton, Honda and Yamaha.
This year, in addition to the usual classic machinery, more modern bikes will be allowed. If manufactured prior to 1994 they can be of unlimited capacity. However, from 1994 onward, the capacity is restricted to a maximum of 700 cc.
There are no restrictions on cars, however, like the bikes, they are split into numerous classes, based on age and engine capacity.
The Club is delighted to once again welcome visiting competitors from the UK and Guernsey.
On Saturday and Sunday the action moves to Grève de Lecq, where competitors take on the challenging twists and turns of Le Mont de St Marie. The hill climb will take place from 10 am until 4.30 pm on both days.
Spectators are welcome to view the range of classic and modern machinery in the pit areas at the Seaside Café and the National Trust Barracks. A free minibus service is available every half hour to take spectators to and from the vantage points along the course. The courtesy bus will also have donation buckets for Jersey Trees for Life and Birds on the edge.
All cafés and restaurants are open for business, including Le Moulin de Lecq.
Access to the bay is from the St Ouen side, with public parking at the Martello Tower car park and some further parking at the Seaside Café and Le Moulin de Lecq.
