Ms Powell will have oversight of the full HR function for the LV Care Group and its operations across Jersey and the Isle of Man, providing guidance and strategic vision to ensure that this conforms with the group’s overarching objective of delivering superior service.
She will also work closely with LV’s head of training, head of compliance and line managers to ensure training development and policies are in line with developmental needs and regulatory requirements.
Ms Powell has a wealth of experience in HR, having held several senior positions across a range of sectors, most recently as head of HR for G4S Secure Solutions, where she was responsible for overseeing the offshore HR team and strategy across Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. Before that she was an HR consultant for a local consultancy firm.
Ms Powell is a member of the Chartered Management Institute and Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
LV Care Group offers home care, dementia care, mental-health and wellbeing care, as well as nursing and residential accommodation. The group opened its first care home in 2011 and now has a portfolio of six care homes in Jersey (Cheval Roc, Lavender Villa, Le Petit Bosquet, Les Charrières, St Joseph’s and Rosemary Cottage), as well as one home in the Isle of Man, LV Pharmacy and LINC Mental Health and Wellbeing Services. The group employs more than 400 staff.
