Webinars bring Jersey’s financial expertise to life

The inaugural Global Jersey webinar series will provide an insight into the positive and evolving role Jersey plays in global economies, and feature a diverse range of internationally-focused experts, including senior government officials and business leaders.

The series has been organised in collaboration with Digital Jersey, the Jersey Financial Services Commission, Locate Jersey and the Government of Jersey.

The sessions will cover trends in funds, family offices and sustainable finance, the evolution of digital technology and developments in international co-operation and connectivity. There will also be an opportunity to hear from Jersey Finance’s chief executive Joe Moynihan and regional directors in Hong Kong, New York, Dubai and London. There will also be a special address from Senator Ian Gorst, Jersey’s Minister for External Relations.

Mr Moynihan said that over a decade ago, the government and Jersey Finance set out a clear vision to expand its global network and diversify Jersey’s proposition overseas. Jersey now helps manage and administer in excess of £1.3 trillion of global assets.

‘Global Jersey is designed to bring that to life by reflecting on the multi-faceted ways Jersey is facilitating high-quality investment across time zones, spanning Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia,’ Mr Moynihan said.

‘Now more than ever, global markets need stable, secure and digitally-enabled financial centres to support cross-border investment, and we hope that Jersey’s role in meeting that demand will come across strongly through these webinars.’

The agenda and registration for any of the sessions is available on the dedicated Global Jersey Webinar Series hub.
