Jersey takes award for sixth time

The Island’s largest sector beat off competition for other shortlisted entries including the Cayman Islands, the Isle of Man, Singapore and Guernsey.

Set up seven years ago, the awards highlight expertise and service excellence of advisers and managers in the private wealth sector in the larger finance centres, judged by a panel of practitioners who select the winners based on achievements, innovation, expertise and service.

The Island award was presented to London-based Jersey Finance business development director William McGilivray at a gala ceremony at the Rosewood London Hotel.

Jersey Finance chief executive Geoff Cook said: ‘It is very positive news to see that Jersey has been recognised as a leading finance centre yet again.

‘It is clear that by working with key stakeholders and experts in the industry and maintaining positive international relations, we have been able to adapt and evolve to fit the ever-changing private wealth landscape.

‘We will continue to provide a world-class service as Jersey looks to the future and I would like to thank the judging panel and business partners for ensuring our work is recognised as such.’
