Local vegetable supplier to be sold to major UK company

Amal-Grow is due to bought by Albert Bartlett and Sons, one of the leading suppliers of root vegetables in the UK. The deal is due to be finalised early next year.

The local business employs up to 60 people at the busiest time of the year and the organisation’s directors have said that the company will continue as usual.

The business, which is based at Beauchamp Farm in St John, offers potatoes and seasonal vegetables and was founded by Tony Le Brun. It has been supplying Islanders’ dinner tables for more than 35 years.
