Man with knife 'made threats' to building site workers

THE States police have launched an investigation after a man allegedly threatened builders with a knife on Saturday afternoon.

The police say the incident took place outside of Reid’s Pharmacy on New Street at 3.30pm. The man is believed to have entered the building site, at the junction between New Street and Vauxhall Street, without permission.

The States police said after being asked to leave he produced a ‘small knife’ and ‘made threats’ to workers before leaving in the direction of Devonshire Place. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as white, he wore a black jacket, black trousers, baseball cap and carried a rucksack.
