Thomas Frost (35242277)

A GUERNSEY police officer has been flown in to Jersey to assist in the search for missing Islander Thomas Frost.

The 51-year-old, who is married with children, was last seen at his parents’ home in St Ouen at about 10pm on Saturday.

Missing person posters have been put up and leaflet drops carried out in St Ouen and St Peter while detectives are continuing house-to-house inquiries.

On Thursday, a police search advisor from Guernsey arrived in the Island to support the investigation.

Up to 30 officers have been involved in the operation, which has included the use of the Fire and Rescue Service’s inshore RIB to search Val de la Mare reservoir.

Jersey Coastguard staff have searched the coast from the sea, while States and honorary officers, as well as a specialist search dog, have scoured the land along the west of the Island.

Mr Frost is about 5ft10 tall, of medium build and has grey hair. The police believe he may be wearing a crimson red T-shirt underneath a navy shirt with white buttons and navy jeans. He may be wearing a light grey hoodie over his shirt and it is still thought that he didn’t have shoes on him when he disappeared.

Police have reiterated their appeal for any CCTV, dash-cam or doorbell footage that could be helpful to the investigation and are continuing to ask residents in the west of the Island to check their outdoor areas, sheds, gardens, garages and to assist any neighbours that might not be able to check themselves.

Anyone with information is asked to call the States police on 01534 612612, dialling option 2, then option 4.
