Police appeal for information after alleged St Clement hit and run

THE States police are appealing for information after a man was allegedly hit by a car in St Clement in the early hours of Monday morning.

A collision is believed to have taken place along the Greve D’Azette coast road between the White Horse Pub and the Victor Hugo apartments shortly after midnight on Monday.

A dark maroon coloured vehicle is believed to have hit a man in his 30s, knocking him to the floor. The vehicle stopped briefly before driving off towards St Helier.

The man was taken to A&E in an ambulance but is not reported to have any injuries.

Officers are looking to speak with anybody who might have any information to identify the vehicle and driver involved.

In a release from the States police, they said: ‘Anyone who may have seen this or who has any information is asked to contact police on 612612 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their anonymous online form at Crimestoppers-uk.org.’
