THE JEP digital roadshow is heading to St John’s Parish Hall today (Friday 30th September), when a team will be leading a drop-in session to talk about the benefits of the online delivery of the newspaper.

The event also ties in with Macmillan Cancer’s fundraising World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event being held in the parish hall and a donation of £50 for every annual online JEP subscription that is taken out will be made to the charity.

Matthew Hotton, head of digital media, along with Karen Goncalves, magazine administrator, and Trevor Makin, circulation and distribution manager, will be at the drop-in session to talk about the benefits of the digital version of the JEP.

They will be armed with laptops and offering a walkthrough on reading the JEP online and demonstrations showing how the online version works and how to sign up for it.

‘We aim to go around each of the parishes with the drop-in sessions to show the benefits of the online version of the paper,’ said Mr Makin.

‘We’ve already been to the Eastern Good Companions Club in St Clement and Age Concern in St Helier, and the parish halls are also good venues, especially if they’re holding coffee mornings.

‘If people have iPads they can bring them in and we can do a one-to-one session with them. We’re also happy to follow up any issues, and as it’s an ongoing project we will be returning to the venues we visit to offer further help.’

Friday’s session will last from 10am until 1pm but team members will be more than happy to assist people further on other dates or times that are more suitable. They could also drop into the JEP’s Bath Street offices as an alternative.
